Frequently Asked Questions

We know you may have questions about our in-house private training courses. We have answered the ones we get asked most below. If however, your question isn’t answered below please feel free to give us a ring or email.

  • There is no minimum number of candidates, we are happy to provide training 1 on 1 if you wish.  With regards to maximum number, this depends a little on the size of the training room you have available.  All courses have maximum numbers which range from 12-20 persons.  First aid courses cannot exceed must have a maximum of 12 candidates, as this is an awarding organisation criteria.

  • We would require a suitable training room with tables and chairs. If we are running a first aid course the room would need to be large enough to accommodate the practical elements of the course.  If you have equipment such as an LCD projector and screen, that would be helpful, but not essential as our trainers are able to bring their own equipment.

  • Yes, all courses can be tailored to your company.

  • Yes, courses can be split over more than one session i.e a one-day course delivered in two half day sessions.  A supplementary charge may be applied.

  • Yes, all of our courses with the exception of First Aid can be delivered via Zoom or Teams.  It is our preference to deliver all courses face to face as this provides learners with better opportunities and enables more questioning, better discussion and increases engagement.

  • Our courses are usually tested by practical assessment and in the case of approved courses by a multiple choice examination.

  • We give all candidates the opportunity to re-sit any examination on the day if time allows. Should this not be possible or the candidate requires additional tuition we will endeavour to accommodate the student in achieving the required standard.  Additional fees to cover costs such as additional exams may be payable, we do however attempt to keep all costs to a minimum.

  • We understand that occasionally things happen and you may need to cancel or postpone a course.  In this event please contact hello@safety360.uk and we will aim to rearrange for a convenient date.  Please note that we do have standard terms and conditions and you can review these by clicking here.

  • We can deliver accredited and non-accredited courses.  By choosing the accredited option this assures your due diligence when selecting an appropriate provider has been covered.  We have multiple accreditations to reflect the standards and quality we offer.  We can deliver bespoke courses but we may not be able to accredit these but be assured our quality and standards remain the same.

  • We do not run public classroom courses during the weekend.  If you do however have a number of staff to train then our In-House training may be more suitable as training can be tailored and more flexible.

  • Of course, we know everyone is different and learns in different ways. We can make reasonable adjustments to the course and the examination process if required.

  • All certificates are emailed to the person who originally booked the training as soon as course administration has been completed.  If printed certificates are required please let us know in advance.

  • The number of candidates attending our public classroom courses can range from 3 to 12 people.

  • We recommend you wear comfortable, casual clothing.  If you are attending a first aid course, we would recommend  wearing trousers as you will be kneeling on the floor.  You may also be required to act as a patient and lie on the ground to be put into the recovery position.

  • Initially, please email hello@safety360.uk if you wish to cancel or transfer your booking.  If you request a cancellation more than 4 weeks before the start of the course, you will receive a full refund.

  • We do not provide lunch, however tea, coffee, water and biscuits are available throughout the course duration.

  • Yes. The trainers aim to have a number of short breaks throughout the day and there will also be a longer break at lunch time, so you have time to stretch your legs and get some fresh air

  • Yes our public classroom courses are accredited ensuring your due diligence in selecting suitable training is covered.

  • We demonstrate with water and CO2 only. We do not use foam which is harmful to the environment or powder which is dangerous and harmful.

The water extinguishers are simply water which is propelled by compressed air.

CO2 is pressurised carbon dioxide. This is a naturally occurring gas and whilst can be dangerous in a confined space this is discharged in an open environment that causes no harm.
